BSG spam coming because I’ve been neglecting this glorious fandom in my asoiaf Jaime/Brienne obsession.
Another couple that gives me ALL THE FEELS and shatters my heart repeatedly.
kara x anders or kara x apollo?
Definitely Lee/Kara!
I do love Anders as a character, and think he and Kara are very sweet and have lovely moments…
but GUH…. Kara and Apollo are one of my top 5 OTPS of all time and the amount of feels they give me cannot be contained in this galaxy.
To be honest, before them I had always been so lucky with my OTPs becoming canon (Ron/Hermione, Lupin/Tonks, Han/Leia etc.) that I just took it for granted that they would be end game. I was deeply crushed when I realized they were never have their chance to get it right.
I’ve come to accept and love Kara’s ending, but I still sometimes long for a happily ever after of them growing old together on earth, all their burdens fading away as they allow themselves to love themselves enough to be together.
While I didn’t get the super happy ending I wanted for them, I still think their story is utterly beautiful and though sometimes I angst over them so hard I can barely stand it, I love every moment they share together.
Even though they broke each other’s hearts repeatedly, and fought like crazy, they always had each other’s backs when it counted. Their friendship and love will always own a very large corner of my heart.
Why on earth did I think it would be okay to watch this episode??
I guess I selectively remembered the intimate parts and wanted to rewatch it for that….completely forgetting about all the betrayal.
Well fuck.
I’ve told this story on here before, but as I have some newer BSG loving followers I will tell it again:
I watched this on the plane once because I adore the episode. When it ended, the super tall and buff man sitting next to me (who looked like Shaquille O’Neil, no joke) turned to me.
As I pulled out my earphones he said “I couldn’t hear what was happening, but that was beautiful.”
A single tear rolled down his cheek. True story.
I explained the Lee/Kara situation to him and we bonded.
Well, all I can say is that it was a lucky day for the Weasleys when Ron decided to sit in your compartment on the Hogwarts Express, Harry.
I received many lovely birthday messages yesterday, but the best one goes out to my BFF since Kindergarten, Tomislava.

“No,” said Ron seriously, “I mean, we should tell them to get out. We don’t want any more Dobbies, do we? We can’t order them to die for us -“
There was a clatter as the basilisk fangs cascaded out of Hermione’s arms. Running at Ron, she flung them around his neck and kissed him full on the mouth. Ron threw away the fangs and broomstick he was holding and responded with such enthusiasm that he lifted Hermione off her feet.
So freakin romantic. I wish they’d kept the SPEW plotline in the movies because it showed so perfectly hire they are two sides of the same coin.
